CD: Unda

Ok this is supposed to be a sort of character design of Unda... so I am supposed to write something about him now..

well first of all Unda is NOT drow, it doesn't belong to the forgotten realm setting since I created the world where he lives.

Elves like him are commonly called "Dark Elves", though they prefer to call themselves "Black Gems" because of the amount of those kinds of stone that there are in the subterranean reign where they live. Although humans scornfully call them "Black ears".

They're society is patriarchal, though females has the same rights as males, and it is a very hierarchical society: it is divided in 4 main castes:
The Saints, The Nobles, The Warriors, The Workers.
There is also an outcast of untouchables which includes all the half breeds (impure gems), sons of different races of elves.
An upper caste memeber is forbidden to even touch one of them.

Unda belongs to the caste of The Nobles by birth: the nobles can become warriors without having to turn into an inferior caste (that is what happened to Vandak, his twin brother), but warriors can never become nobles; once Unda entered the religious order he automatically became a Saint.
As Saint he had to be able to do almost anything concerning inferior castes: The Saint are taught to be warriors, nobles and workers.
The Saints canNOT get married and have to remain chast for all their life; they had to undergo through hard trainings where most of them fail.
Once they fail they fall into The Workers caste.

I know it's a complicated society...I cannot write a proper summary I fear.

anyway, Unda is born with two different eye colors, though black gems have red eyes. They are tall (180cm-190cm) and they're famous for their religious fanatism.
They're one of the few elven or human races to accept a monotheistic religion.
They refuse any kind of idolatry.
Their god is called with different names but only The Saints know his true name. The most common name is the "thousand-eyed god".
His accepted symbols are a spiral or many eyes linked together with a black string (as in Unda's axe).


Now, Unda is dressed like in the picture only once he gets exiled in the surface after being accused of treachery to the crown.
He owns an axe (he can use swords and bows as well but he thinks those are weapons for cowards---don't ask me why, I fortunately do not enter his mind) and he can cast different spells though he has been forbidden to use them once in exile.

He is born with the gift of the water, which means he has total control over the water element.
He is maniac of hygene and generally insane; he's religious fanatic and he claims that everything he does he does it for his god and his realm. That's why he turns mad and terribly confused when he breaks his vows.
He realize he has a mind of his own...which besides don't even work well XD
